Monitor Stand Spring

Thin displays (LED displays, etc.) have been widely used as display devices for purposes such as viewing television programs and displaying operation screens of personal computers. The advantage of such a thin display is that the thickness of the monitor part (display) is small, and the weight of the display is lighter than conventional products such as CRT displays. Since the weight of the display part has been reduced, it becomes easier to adjust the height position and angle of the display.  For example, there are currently known types such as linear motion type brackets, arc type motion type brackets, and folding type brackets.

In the monitor stand, the monitor can be adjusted to a lower position, while if the monitor is adjusted to a lower position, the support parts and connectors can be seen from above the monitor, which will damage the appearance.

Mounting a constant force spring on the monitor stand makes it difficult to see the support from above the monitor even when the monitor is adjusted to a lower position.

A supporting portion supporting the display, a base contacting the mounting surface, and a post connecting the supporting portion and the base, and the supporting posts are arranged to overlap each other and slide thereon.

The monitor mount includes an interlocking portion for the telescoping post, wherein the interlocking portion is configured to hold the monitor in a desired position by the biasing force of a constant force spring having a spring portion.

In this stand, the monitor can be raised and lowered by sliding a plurality of pillar members arranged to overlap each other, so the movable range of the monitor can be sufficiently maintained even with the length of each pillar. Members are shortened. You can make it bigger. As a result, the pillar can be hidden from view from above the display even when the display is in the lower limit position.

A spring is a mechanical device that is designed to store and release energy. When a spring is stretched or compressed, it exerts a force that is proportional to the displacement from its equilibrium position. This force is known as the spring constant. The spring constant is a measure of the stiffness of the spring, and it is denoted by...

What is Spring Force Constant and How is it Calculated?

Time:2023-5-18

The spring force constant, also known as the spring constant or stiffness, is a fundemental property of a spring or elastic material that defines its resistance to deformation when a force is applied. It is a measure of how much force is required to deform a spring by a certain distance. In essence, the spring force constant determines the strength...
