Just like its name “Huo-yan”, Huo-yan Laboratory uses the ” piercing eye” of the Chinese plan to make the new crown virus “nowhere to hide”. “Huo-yan” is divided into reagent preparation cabin, code scanning sampling cabin, nucleic acid extraction cabin, and nucleic acid amplification cabin.Among them, the sampling cabin and extraction cabin are equipped with BGI’s self-developed fully automated cup separation system, which can process 192 samples every 40 minutes, and a high-throughput automated nucleic acid extractor, which can process up to 10,000 samples per day.

The “Huo-yan” laboratory has a detection capacity of 60,000 daily throughput, and 10 mixed 1 can detect up to 600,000 copies per day. BGI’s “Huo-yan” laboratory has realized the automation and intelligence of the nucleic acid detection platform. Domestic technology has greatly improved the detection efficiency and greatly reduced the risk of infection by laboratory personnel.BGI’s new crown testing products have covered more than 180 countries and regions, and BGI Genomics had built more than 90 Huo-Yan Laboratories in 30 countries and regions worldwide.

The lifting system spring in the BGI nucleic acid testing equipment is to replace the original foreign spring with the spring produced by Qianye. Under the condition of the same performance, the manufacturing cost is greatly reduced.
