Application of constant torque spring in 3D printer

3D printing, also known as three-dimensional printing, is a kind of rapid prototyping technology. It uses adhesive materials such as powdered metal or plastic to construct zero objects through multi-layer printing layer by layer. Mold making, industrial design is used to build models, and is now developing into product manufacturing, forming “direct digital manufacturing”. Some high-value applications (such as hips or teeth, or aircraft parts) already have printed parts.

The constant torque spring is applied to the 3D printer. This innovative case is a spring motor drive system. Like the common design, it is impossible for a spring to achieve the torque we need. As you can see we are using three constant torque springs in one mechanism with an output drum in the middle connecting the three springs. Therefore, it can generate three times the output torque of only one spring, and this design can achieve the purpose of providing maximum torque in a limited space. This connection method is easier to assemble than using screw connections.
