Application of carbon brush spring in wind turbine slip ring brush holder

In order to prevent accidents caused by excessive wear of the carbon brushes on the collector device of the slip ring brush holder of the wind turbine, a normally closed switch-type alarm unit is configured for each carbon brush, and these alarm units are connected in series to the alarm. In the prior art, the grounding brush is held on the structure using a coil spring pressure finger lever structure. In order to ensure sufficient pressure after the carbon brush is worn, the initial pressure of the spring has to be increased, which aggravates the wear of the carbon brush. However, in the later stage of carbon brush wear, the tension of the coil spring becomes insufficient again, resulting in poor contact between the carbon brush and the slip ring, frequent beating, resulting in breakage; at the same time, from the carbon brush to the alarm unit, the intermediate link is complex and easy to Lead to false alarm or no alarm, reducing the reliability of the system.

In order to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art, a novel slip ring brush holder collector of wind turbine generator with simple structure, reduced wear of grounding carbon brushes and reliable operation is provided. The slip ring brush holder collector of wind turbine includes slip ring, brush holder, main carbon brush and grounding carbon brush, and the pressure end of the grounding carbon brush with alarm pressure piece is pressed by a coiled constant pressure spring. The constant pressure spring grounding brush holder structure greatly improves the force on the carbon brush during operation and reduces wear; The structure of the action mechanism is simplified, and the brush directly touches the alarm unit, which effectively enhances the reliability of the alarm mechanism.

Roll type constant pressure spring, also known as carbon brush holder spring, has the following characteristics:
  1. Due to the fixed force, no matter the length of the carbon brush, it maintains the same pressure with the commutator.
  2. The constant force spring reduces the friction consumption of the carbon brush, increases the service life of the carbon brush, and reduces the current loss.
  3. It can miniaturize the motor design and reduce the outer diameter of the motor.
  4. The length of carbon brush can be increased.
  5. Larger commutators can be used.

  6. Reduce sparks and electromagnetic interference (EMI).

And the carbon brush spring is an important part of the motor. Because of the environment and application, we need to use it often. So it is important to know where to buy high-quality carbon springs.

There are many types of springs, but the most common are torsion springs. The design of torsion springs is optimized to maintain maximum rotational pressure between two surfaces, these helical or helical springs are usually adhered to the coils at both suspended ends. These ends are connected to external components, which are then rotated to apply bending stress. Unlike other...
